It’s designed to help you reach a high-value audience of CarGurus shoppers who are in-market for your vehicle, all while diversifying channels and maximizing your efficiency.
Our early dealer partners using RPM Premier have seen great success thus far, driving lower funnel leads to VDPs on their website. Below, we’re sharing everything you need to know about our new social retargeting product.
Ben Steffler, Growth Marketer at online automotive retailer Clutch, knows the most effective way to reach in-market shoppers is through the internet. To get his inventory in front of a larger audience, he signed up for CarGurus’ Area Boost, which allows him to show his deliverable listings outside his local market. He’s able to set delivery terms based on geographic parameters or a stated radius around the dealership for each listing with Area Boost, and a tag on each VDP makes it clear who pays the delivery fee. As a result, Clutch’s listings appear in searches by buyers who live outside their local market but within their specified delivery area, which results in more connections from potential buyers.

CarGurus is excited to announce the launch of IMV Scan, a new tool that allows our dealer partners to use a VIN to get an estimated Instant Market Value (IMV) and receive a breakdown of the price ranges for each deal rating – all before adding the vehicle and price to their inventory feed. IMV Scan lives within the CarGurus app and is available to dealers who are currently enrolled in Enhanced, Featured, and Featured Priority packages on a trial basis.
CarGurus is excited to announce the rename and launch of Area Boost (previously ‘Delivery Indicator’) to our dealer partners. Area Boost is our newest offering that helps dealers expand their reach by showing their deliverable listings to shoppers outside their local market.
By making it easy for low-funnel shoppers to find the exact cars they want, dealers with Area Boost are able to compete in low-supply markets that they weren’t previously reaching. Especially in today’s unique selling environment when most car shoppers would prefer to use contactless services during the purchase process, this product provides a simple way for dealers to increase their exposure and convert a larger audience of shoppers. Participating Area Boost dealers see on average 20% more vehicle detail page views from shoppers in their target market.
