Just launched! Target ready-to-buy shoppers with specific inventory categories with Highlight

You asked, and we listened. Many of you have told us you want a way to promote your inventory more strategically on CarGurus. Today, we’re launching Highlight, the latest solution in our suite of Listings products designed to help you reach more in-market shoppers.  

Here’s everything you need to know about it. 

How it works:

Available to dealers on an Enhanced or above Listings package, Highlight helps you get more shoppers on specific vehicles by featuring certain inventory in more sponsored slots beyond the first page and further down the SRP. You can choose from four inventory category-specific “Highlight Strategies” in your Dealer Dashboard:  

  • Aged Inventory. Promote listings with the longest time on site. 
  • Certified Pre-Owned Inventory. Promote vehicles with proven value. 
  • Newest Model Year Inventory. Promote your most recently produced used car inventory. 
  • Qualified Inventory. Promote your great, good, and fair deals.

For the first time, Highlight allows you to create a promotion strategy on CarGurus based on inventory type and offers the following advantages:  

  • Strategically promote inventory. Get more control over the vehicles that you promote, giving your selection an extra boost in visibility.  
  • Reach the most committed shoppers. The lowest funnel shoppers click through several SRPs to look for the right deal. 
  • Boost your exposure beyond the first page. Exclusive sponsored slots start at the top of the second SRP and every ten listings on mobile.
